Currency in Brightwater
Brightwater’s coinage revolves around the silver-based Brightwater Angel, though the Noble and Pence are both important, too. Letters of Credit and Trade Bars are also issued by the various merchant houses in the city, but the Silver Palace usually conducts large-scale business, when necessary, with bars of silver.
The following are the three principle currencies used in modern Brightwater (“values” are represented against a generic “gold piece”):

Appearance: Circular, with the monarch’s profile and the date of issue stamped on one side, and an image of the Silver Palace stamped on the obverse.
Value: 1 SP
In circulation since: 404 BR, with some interruption
Appearance: Circular, with the monarch’s profile and the date of issue stamped on one side, and an image of the Archangel Azariel stamped on the obverse, with the text “Our Help and Our Guide” around the edge.
Value: 1 CP
In circulation since: Pre-Resettling (-113 BR), with significant variation in appearance
Appearance: Circular, with monarch’s profile and the date of issue stamped on one side, and the Brightwater motto (“The Gods and Sea Shall Us Defend”) stamped around the edge of the obverse, with a water/wave decorative motif in the middle.
